BreathersBliss Lab · Practical guide

A fast break, a defensive transition and a spell on the bench: handball leaves little room for equipment that keeps demanding attention. Prepare a nasal strip before play, not halfway through an attack. With BreathersBliss, the aim is straightforward: add external support at the nose and assess comfort in your own practice conditions.

At a glance

Apply Intense with clean hands, before handling a resin-coated ball and before sweating. Test hold in practice. A strip supports nasal comfort; it is neither impact protection nor a reason to insist on nose-only breathing.

01

Where nasal comfort fits an intermittent team sport

BreathersBliss Intense nasal strips support the sides of the nose from outside, without medication or anything inserted into the nostrils. This mechanical action can create a more open-feeling nasal entrance. Assess it during warm-up and the parts of practice when you notice that particular restriction.

Handball still involves acceleration, changes of direction and physical effort that call for unrestricted breathing. Let your mouth contribute, especially after a fast break. A strip does not guarantee faster recovery between sprints, a higher jump or greater endurance. A more useful test is whether it feels comfortable and unobtrusive enough that you do not keep reaching for your face during play. Make that assessment over familiar training sessions rather than an important match.

02

Clean hands and dry skin before the ball and resin

Prepare before warm-up. Clean and thoroughly dry the nose, remove oily residue and follow the BreathersBliss application instructions. Press the ends as directed without adding glue. Avoid touching the adhesive surface with your fingers; clean application starts with your hands as well as your skin.

If your sport setting uses ball resin, apply the strip before handling the ball. Resin intended for ball grip is not an adhesive for your nose: never use it to reinforce the strip. Wash sticky hands before opening a fresh one. Keep spare strips in a clean, dry compartment away from the ball and resin-covered equipment. This order of preparation is more practical than attempting a makeshift repair once you are already playing and sweating.

03

Managing sweat, rubbing and contact during play

Intense is designed for reinforced sports adhesion, but preparation, sweat and touching the face still affect hold. At a suitable stoppage, dab sweat with a clean towel rather than rubbing across the edges. Avoid repeatedly testing the strip with your fingers. The match-hold guide helps you work out why an edge might lift.

A nasal strip is not nose protection and cannot support an injury after a collision. Do not cover pain, bleeding or trauma simply to carry on playing; have the situation assessed. Before competition, check the applicable equipment rules with your club or officials. No particular sports certification for BreathersBliss is claimed here. Adjust equipment at an allowed moment without assuming it entitles you to stop play.

Pack BreathersBliss Intense for your playing routine

An Intense pouch contains 30 black single-use strips. Begin with several ordinary practices to test application, movement and time on the bench. Notice comfort during the session and the condition of the skin after removal. Remove a strip that irritates or lifts. A new application needs clean, dry skin again; do not stack strips or reuse the one from a previous match.

Once that routine works for you, compare the packs below against your actual session frequency. The Trio Pack offers different colours; larger formats suit established regular use. Base your choice on your habits rather than promised match results. The skin and adhesive guide also explains preparation and gentle removal. The objective is a ready-to-use accessory and a straightforward routine you can repeat before practice without extra distraction.

Frequently asked questions

Why use a nasal strip for handball?

To try external mechanical support at the nasal entrance and assess personal comfort. It does not replace conditioning or guarantee better performance.

Can ball resin improve nasal strip adhesion?

No. Ball resin must not be used to attach a strip to your nose. Apply with clean hands before handling a resin-coated ball.

When should I apply Intense before a handball match?

Before warm-up and sweating, on clean and completely dry skin. Follow the instructions and test the routine in practice first.

Does the strip protect the nose during contact?

No. It is not impact protection and must not conceal an injury. Pain or bleeding after contact deserves appropriate attention.

Can I wear it in every competition?

Check your competition’s rules and the officials’ instructions. BreathersBliss is not presented as universally approved sports equipment.

Which format suits practices and matches?

Start with the 30-strip Intense pouch, then compare packs against your use. Each application requires a fresh strip, not one already worn.
