BreathersBliss Lab · Practical guide
Before heading onto the snow, you check gloves, glasses and layers. Nasal comfort deserves a simple preparation step too. BreathersBliss can accompany a ski day or cross-country outing when the strip fits comfortably with your equipment and never takes priority over mountain conditions.
Apply Intense in shelter to clean, dry skin. Check glasses and goggles contact, then adapt effort to cold and altitude: the strip provides external nasal support, not protection against the environment.
BreathersBliss Intense nasal strips gently lift the sides of the nose from outside. They can make the nasal entrance feel more comfortable without medication or an insert inside the nostrils. This mechanism does not change when you swap running shoes for skis.
The strip does not warm air, prevent frostbite or stop a runny nose. Nor does it correct the lower pressure at altitude. Treat it as a comfort detail to test during an easy outing, not a reason to keep training in conditions that no longer suit you. Your own wearing experience is the useful starting point for deciding whether it belongs in your winter routine.
Apply in shelter before sweating, with your nose clean and fully dry. Press the ends as instructed. Put on your glasses or goggles afterwards and move your head gently. Contact points should not compress the strip, lift its edges or cause soreness. The nasal strips and glasses guide helps you assess fit rather than making random changes to your equipment.
Never loosen necessary protective equipment to make room for a strip. Check that a neck covering does not constantly rub the edges and still allows unrestricted breathing and communication. Maintain appropriate sun protection on exposed areas; the strip is not a certified sunscreen. If necessary protection conflicts with adhesive application, choose protection first. Comfort comes from the complete setup, not one accessory in isolation.
Alpine skiing alternates downhill efforts with quieter lift periods. Test your setup on an easy first run and stop somewhere safe before adjusting anything. Cross-country effort is more continuous, especially uphill: build gradually and let your mouth contribute as intensity rises. A nasal strip is not a requirement to breathe exclusively through your nose.
Cold can trigger symptoms in some people with asthma; follow your care plan. Repeated coughing, wheezing or unusual breathing difficulty deserves medical advice. At altitude, a strip cannot replace acclimatisation. Do not ascend further if symptoms develop after climbing; confusion or breathlessness at rest requires urgent help. The hiking and altitude guide provides further context.
Sweat, moisture on your face and clothing friction can affect hold. Intense is designed for reinforced sports adhesion, not identical performance in every weather condition. Dab rather than rub. If the strip lifts, pause somewhere safe to remove it. Apply a fresh one only after cleaning and drying the skin again; do not add glue or another strip on top.
After the outing, remove gently as instructed and check your skin. Stop for irritation and do not apply over cold-damaged skin. Intense contains 30 black single-use strips per pouch: plan a fresh strip for each application rather than drying and reusing it. Once comfort is established with your equipment, select a pack below for your actual outings. The skin and adhesive guide supports a careful repeatable routine.
Yes, if they fit comfortably with glasses, goggles and clothing. Test at easy effort and keep required protective equipment properly adjusted.
No. It supports the nasal entrance without warming the air or shielding skin from cold. Keep suitable weather protection.
It can accompany nasal comfort during an outing. Let your mouth contribute uphill or at harder effort; no performance gain is guaranteed.
No. External nasal support does not correct altitude effects or prevent altitude illness.
Check fit while stopped without compromising protection. If pressure persists or moves the strip, remove the strip instead of wearing goggles incorrectly.
Intense contains 30 single-use strips. Plan for your actual applications, using a fresh one each time; compare packs once you have confirmed comfort.
