BreathersBliss Lab · Practical guide

No headwind, a pace displayed on a screen and sometimes a warm gym: treadmill running feels different. If you like external nasal support outdoors, BreathersBliss can also fit your indoor routine. Prepare the strip before sweating and choose an effort that lets you run without tensing up around your breathing.

At a glance

Apply Intense to clean, dry skin before warming up. Set pace by effort, let your mouth contribute when needed and stop the treadmill before handling a strip that bothers you.

01

What can a nasal strip add on the treadmill?

BreathersBliss Intense nasal strips gently lift the sides of the nasal entrance from outside. They can create a more open-feeling nasal passage without medication or an insert inside the nostrils. The mechanism is unchanged indoors: the surroundings and demands of your run are what differ.

Judge the comfort you feel, not an automatic increase in speed or oxygen. Start with a familiar easy run and keep other settings consistent so you can notice what actually changes. A strip does not require a closed mouth or turn hard training into easy training. The easy-running and zone 2 guide helps separate local nasal comfort from the overall effort of the session.

02

Room airflow, warmth and sweat

Indoor airflow, temperature and humidity depend on the gym. You may not feel the moving air that accompanies forward travel outdoors. Where possible, choose a well-ventilated spot and have a clean towel and water in the designated holder. Keep belongings clear of the space around the machine rather than creating obstacles for you or other users.

Apply Intense before stepping onto the treadmill, with your nose clean and fully dry. Avoid oily residue in the adhesive area and press the ends according to the instructions. During the session, dab rather than dragging a towel across the edges. Reinforced adhesion is a useful sports feature, but rubbing and sweat still affect hold. The pre-warm-up application guide explains preparation in more detail.

03

Speed and incline without forcing your breathing

Start progressively at a level suited to you, then settle at a comfortable pace. Raising speed and incline together makes sensations harder to interpret; change one setting at a time. No universal setting makes every treadmill identical to your outdoor route. There is no need to chase the exact number your watch showed outside.

Opening your mouth during harder work is normal. Do not block it to pass a nasal-breathing challenge. A strip supports airflow at the nasal entrance; it does not set your target pace. If breathlessness is unusual, you feel faint or have chest pain, stop exercising and get appropriate help. A more comfortable nose is not a reason to overlook those warning signs or keep increasing the machine’s settings.

04

From starting the belt to removing the strip

Before starting, learn the controls and use the safety device as instructed by the manufacturer, including the clip where provided. Stand as directed and begin slowly. If a strip lifts or needs attention, do not look away from running to handle it. Slow down and stop the machine according to its instructions before adjusting or removing it.

Remove gently after training, following the strip instructions. Do not put the same strip back after showering: Intense is single-use. Each pouch contains 30 strips, convenient to plan into your gym kit. If it feels comfortable across several sessions, select a pack for your frequency below. Stop use if irritation occurs and consult the skin and adhesive guide before another trial. A repeatable routine is more useful than trying to salvage a loosened strip.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use nasal strips while running on a treadmill?

Yes, the external mechanism is the same as outdoors. Try an easy session first, applying to clean, dry skin.

Should I breathe only through my nose on a treadmill?

No. Let your mouth contribute according to intensity and comfort. The strip should not become a breathing restriction.

Will a nasal strip make me run faster?

Better nasal comfort does not guarantee greater speed. Choose pace for your ability and the session’s purpose.

How do I help the strip stay on with sweat?

Apply before sweating, press as instructed and dab your face without rubbing the edges. Skin and conditions also affect hold.

What if the strip bothers me while the belt is moving?

Slow down and stop the treadmill as instructed before handling or removing the strip. Do not adjust it while running.
