Before leaving, in the middle of the session or once you return? The right time to take electrolytes depends more on your workout than on a specific time. Here is a simple method to choose your moment, prepare your drink and avoid having to take multiple shots unnecessarily.
Preparation begins with very concrete things: having a clean bottle, knowing its volume and checking that you will be able to drink during the session. If you choose a drink containing electrolytes before your workout, prepare it according to its directions and take the time to make sure it is right for you.
It is not necessary to construct a countdown to the minute. The first test fits better on an ordinary training day than just before an important departure. You thus discover the flavor, the dilution and the container without adding anything new to your competition.
Also avoid the idea of “getting ahead” by drinking a lot just before going out. Preparation is not about forcing quantities. A ready bottle and well-planned access to water are more useful decisions than a large volume swallowed in one go.
In the field, drinking opportunities vary. In the dining room, a water bottle can be kept within reach. When cycling, you need to be able to grab it safely. When running, a loose flask or a hard-to-open cap can make a carefully prepared drink impractical.
If you choose to use your stick during exercise, test the drink and equipment set. Fill the container to the intended volume, close it and transport it for a few minutes. Check the seal, access to the cap and the space available in your bag. These details are easily sorted out before the release.
A prolonged session does not mean that the dose of the product must be repeated without limit. Respect the daily portion indicated. For a marathon, a long trail or very demanding training, have a personalized plan created that also takes into account water, food and other drinks consumed.

See BreathersBliss sticksThe return is sometimes the simplest moment: you find a glass, fresh water and the possibility of calmly mixing your powder. If you have not already used your portion and this choice meets your needs, electrolytes can be integrated into this break.
However, the drink does not have to carry all the recovery on its shoulders. The meal, rest and organization of the next session remain distinct elements. A mineral powder is not, by its sole presence, a recovery meal or a complete energy supply.
Prepare your equipment for the next day: rinse the bottle, let it dry and put the remaining sticks away from moisture. You thus transform an occasional hold into a mastered gesture, without having to improvise each time.
Start with four questions. What session is planned? Where can I drink? Have I ever tried this drink? Have I already used my portion today? Answers are more useful than the same advice for everyone.
Slip a closed stick into your bag and find access to water. You can prepare the drink at the desired time, without keeping a mixed bottle on a desk all day. Don't forget the container: a compact sachet is only practical if you have something to dilute it.
Prepare your route and refreshment points. Test the bottle with your usual equipment. To go further, consult our guide dedicated to electrolytes in running.
Do not automatically double doses because the schedule contains two sessions. The daily indication remains the reference. If this rhythm is frequent, a sports dietitian can help you organize the intake over the entire day.
The BreathersBliss electrolyte sticks mix with 300 to 500 ml of cold water. Each 7 g stick contains 600 mg of sodium, 250 mg of potassium and 50 mg of magnesium. The bag contains 30 individual sticks, cherry and lime flavor.
The indication is one sachet per day. Choosing the time of your portion does not change this instruction. Do not add a second stick to obtain a stronger taste: instead adjust the water within the intended dilution range. Always consult the packaging and the sheet for information specific to your reference.
There is no universal thirty-minute rule. Organize the intake according to your session and your tolerance, following the instructions for the chosen product.
Do not reflexively accumulate doses. For BreathersBliss, stick to one stick per day; the different moments presented are organizational possibilities.
Not necessarily. A short, low-sweat session does not automatically create a need for supplementation. Context matters more than the name of the sport.
Choose a time that suits you and check the composition and precautions of your reference. There is no need to shift your routine if you don’t feel the need.
It is not automatic. The interest must correspond to your real situation; An indication of one sachet per day does not mean that it must be taken every day.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before adding a drink rich in minerals. This is particularly important in cases of kidney disease or sodium restriction.
An effective routine to organize requires a few things: a suitable portion, a respected dilution, a practical container and a test during training. Choose your moment, then keep your method simple and repeatable.
